Federal Work Study Program (FWS)

The Federal Work Study Program provides eligible students an opportunity to earn money which helps pay their educational costs. Minot State University offers FWS as part of studentÕs total financial aid package. Students are paid the federal minimum wage for the number of hours worked each month. Students who are rehired during a subsequent academic year to the same position may be eligible for a higher pay rate. Students apply for FWS by completing the FAFSA and by meeting the priority funding date of April 15th. Awards are based on the availability of funds.
